Completed his PhD in Human Morphology in 2009 and obtained the postgraduate degree in orthodontics in 2011. In 2018 was appointed as Assistant Professor at the Department of Orthodontics of the University of Genoa (Italy). He is author or co-author of more than 100 publications on peer-review journals, national dental journals and conference proceedings. His research is mainly focused on clinical orthodontics, orofacial pain, forensic dentistry and craniofacial growth. He is an active member of the Cochrane Oral Group, Society of Oral Physiology and Italian Society of Orthodontics.
